SWIFT THIEF SACHIN GOHAR HAS TRAPPED BY SPECIAL SQUAD

Nagpur: City police’s special squad, netting master burglar Sachin Gohar and his two accomplices recently, has cracked 14 cases of housebreaking thefts and recovered stolen booty including a car worth over Rs 4 lakh. Gohar, notorious for his swift burglaries and an extravagant lifestyle that includes mistresses in city’s redlight areas and a private car, has been arrested on earlier occasions too.

Gaikwad, who is now working for the special squad of Additional Commissioner Madhukar Gavit, and his team comprising constables Rajesh and Rajkumar Deshmukh, Rajesh Soni and others, had recently turned their attention on Gohar who was released on bail around a year ago. Gohar came into police radar after a spate of burglaries in Rana Pratap Nagar and adjoining areas. The burglaries, particularly one at the government official’s residence at Gawande lay-out in Chhatrapati nagar, was under scanner of the police as it was carried out with tremendous swiftness.

Gohar was supposed to deliver some mobile phones at a shop at Manewada and special squad had laid a trap accordingly. He came with Bablu Kuchhadia to deliver the mobiles. Special squad nabbed the duo at the spot after waiting for them for more than six hours,”

Police recovered 32 mobile handsets, 42 batteries, three computer screens, three CPUs, laptop, television, gold and silver among the stolen properties. Jeweller Narendra Patne was also arrested for his alleged involvement in buying the stolen gold.
